Happy Friday Thunderbolts!

The time has come for you to start thinking about the ASA Championship Meet on Wednesday, June 29th from 9:30 am -1:00pm at Georgia Tech Aquatics Center. I know we have a few events between now and then, but we have a pretty strict deadline associated with this meet, and we want to make sure you get all the information in a timely manner. Please read ALL of this email so you are fully informed and can enjoy the excitement of this super-cool opportunity for our swimmers.

What is it?

The ASA Championship Meet is ASA’s big group meet and is a timed final. All ASA teams are assigned a session during the last week of the season. Our assigned session is Wednesday, June 29th from 9:30 am-1:00pm. We will swim against about 10 other ASA teams during this meet. Spectators are allowed this year, but they are not allowed on the pool deck unless they have a specific volunteer job that requires deck access. This is a high energy, fun event. This meet is not for Jr. Bolt swimmers. If you have questions on whether or not the ASA Championship Meet is right for your child, contact Coach Catherine. She is happy to help you out!

Declaration/Cost:

We need all swimmers to declare their meet entry status for the championship meet by Friday, June 17that 8 pm on our team website. The cost for participation in the ASA Championship Meet is $35/swimmer this year. This fee covers your child for up to 2 individual events and 2 relays. Money is due by Tuesday June 21st. No money = no swim! You can chose to pay in one of the following ways:

Venmo – @TwinLakes-SwimTennisAtlanta

If you pay with Venmo it is very important that you type ASA Champ and the swimmer’s name/names in the notes.

Cash – Give to Julie or Kris at practice or at Tuesday’s swim meet

Check – Make out to Twin Lakes Swim Team and hand to Julie or Kris at practice or at Tuesday’s swim meet

Parent Meeting:

For the parents attending divisionals, we will have a parent meeting Thursday, June 23rd at 5:30 pm at Twin Lakes in the Pavilion. We strongly encourage all parents to attend this meeting, and please bring any and all questions.
