Meet schedule
Hello Twin Lakes Swim Team Families!
We are just a few weeks away from our first practice (Monday, May 5th). We look forward to seeing everyone. We have finalized the practice schedule and it is posted on our website.
Our meet schedule has been released for the season. Our first meet is Tuesday, June 3rd.
Swim Meets
Please follow the same instructions above for EACH meet on the calendar, and:
- Declare your swimmer’s availability
- Volunteer for each meet and Time Trials
We have lots of new families this year, and plenty of “veterans” who are happy to lend a hand – we are all in this together! Don’t be afraid of any job – we will train you and help you! We all need to step up and help so we can run meets appropriately.
All parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer. No one is more important or busier than anyone else. We all work and have important jobs and we all have kids. If everyone does his or her part, then no one gets “dumped” on, and everyone is happy. Just do it!
Each family will be responsible for volunteering 3 times per swimmer. Families failing to earn their volunteer spots, will be charged $50 for every missing spot.
Please go on the Twin Lakes Swim Team website and do TWO THINGS:
- Declare Time Trials and meet availability: Click on “Schedules and Sign Ups.” Click on “Signup Calendar” or go directly to the link here . Then click on “Meet Entry” (green button on the top right side of the page) and update your child’s status for the Time Trials (attending/not attending)
- Volunteer for Time Trials and swim meets: In the same portal, click on “Job Signup” and volunteer for the meet – we CANNOT run this event or any other meet without all volunteer positions filled.

May 20th – Time Trials and Burger Bash
On Tuesday, May 20th, in lieu of practice, we will be holding Time Trials. This is an opportunity for our coaches to get a time for your child in each stroke, so that they can be properly placed in swim meets. This will give us an opportunity to make sure everything works and that everyone has a chance to refresh their memory about various jobs.
We will also be selling burger plates and hot dog plates to help support the swim team. More to come on this soon!
Swimmers who are unable to attend Time Trials will need to attend practice on the 21st to be timed.
Team Communication
Check out our team website for valuable information throughout the season. You may also go to our swim league’s website, Atlanta Swim Association for additional information about this season and our league.
Jr. Bolts
Jr. Bolts will start practice on Monday, June 2nd. You will be getting an email from your coach with more information in the coming weeks. All additional information regarding Jr. Bolts can be found on our website by clicking “Schedules and Signups” and then “Jr Bolts.” Jr. Bolts DO NOT need to declare availability for regular swim meets, participate in Time Trials or sign up for “jobs” during the Jr. Bolt meets. Jr. Bolts are invited to come cheer on the regular team, to participate in Spirit Nights, the Burger Bash,, and attend the Swim Banquet at the end of the season.
Swimmer’s gear
Swimmers’ gear (suits, caps, t-shirts) and parent spirit wear will be distributed at the Burger Bash!
Any questions, please reach out!
Go Bolts!
