The time has come for you to start thinking about the ASA Championship Meet on Wednesday, June 25th from 9:30 am -1:00pm at Georgia Tech Aquatics Center. I know we have a few events between now and then, but we have a pretty strict deadline associated with this meet, and we want to make sure you get all the information in a timely manner. Please read ALL of this email so you are fully informed and can enjoy the excitement of this super-cool opportunity for our swimmers.

What is it?

The ASA Championship Meet is ASA’s big group meet and is a timed final. All ASA teams are assigned a session during the last week of the season. Our assigned session is Wednesday, June 25th from 9:30 am-1:00pm. We will swim against about 10 other ASA teams during this meet. Spectators are allowed to watch, but they are not allowed on the pool deck unless they have a specific volunteer job that requires deck access. This is a high energy, fun event. This meet is not for Jr. Bolt swimmers. If you have questions on whether or not the ASA Championship Meet is right for your child, contact Coach Catherine. She is happy to help you out!

Declaration/Cost:

We need all swimmers to declare their meet entry status for the championship meet by Friday, June 13th at 8 pm on our team website. In the notes, please specify your strongest events for the coaches. The cost for participation in the ASA Championship Meet is $50/swimmer this year. This fee covers your child for up to 2 individual events and 2 relays. Money is due by Tuesday June 17th. No money = no swim! You can chose to pay in one of the following ways:

Cash – Give to Jaime or Ashley at practice or at Tuesday’s swim meet.

Check – Make out to Twin Lakes Swim Team and hand it to Jaime or Ashley at practice or at Tuesday’s swim meet.
