  • Volunteers check in with Ashley Hindenlang
  • There is construction in the area, please plan accordingly.
  • If any circumstance arises that will cause you to not be on time – please call or text Ashley (615) 428-6765 IMMEDIATELY
  • Please reference the attached order of events BEFORE marking your swimmers arms. The order of events is NOT sequential. An example of how to read the heat sheet is also attached.

8:10 team walks in together

  • You will not be allowed to enter the building if you are late unless a coach or council member escorts you in, so please call or text Ashley @ 615-428-6765 if you are running late. Our warm-up time is 8:40-8:55 am in the boys pool all lanes.
  • Parent/designated adult on site required for all swimmers, other than swimmers driving themselves. This is needed in case of emergency.
  • Leaving the meet: Please make sure Julie Linsley knows that you are leaving with your child. Many families like to meet up for a late lunch after the meet, so keep that option in mind as you plan your day.
    • 6 & Unders swimmers’ final event is backstroke. They will need to be picked up by their parent/designated caregiver after this even. You are welcome to watch the remainder of the meet in the spectator stands.

Heat Sheets - do NOT print from swimtopia and do NOT use the SwimTopia app to follow the meet. This meet is NOT run through SwimTopia.. Please only print heat sheets from the official ASA championship team site - click here for heat sheets.

  • Spectators - Please print your own. Only volunteers will receive a printed heat sheet.

Volunteers still needed, please click here to go in and sign up.

  • Awards (1) - Stationed in the awards area ON the deck, they peel and stick labels on awards and put them in team boxes. They are not tied to that awards area for the entire session and have the ability to watch their kids swim.
  • Boys pool timer (1) - Responsible for serving as backup timers for the timing equipment.

Parking

If you haven’t already purchased parking, please click here. You may need to refresh your browser on the page for your session. In some cases if your session had shown as unavailable that data stays on the page showing unavailable, refreshing the page MIGHT show more spots. If it does not please use the W02 lot at 355 Ferst Drive, Student Center Lot, it is a pay at the gate lot and cannot need to be reserved on Park Mobile.

Overflow/Non-Reserved Parking

If you do not prepay to park or if the W10 lot sells out you can park in W02 lot located at 355 Ferst Drive, this is the Student Center lot. It is a short walk from the pool. You cannot prepay for parking in those lots, you just pay when you arrive, or take a ticket from the kiosk and pay upon exiting the deck. A map of the area can be found at Georgia Tech General Parking Map and ASA Parking Diagram and Map Please plan accordingly.

What to bring:

  • Swimmers need to bring 1-2 towels, some snacks/light lunch and water bottle/drinks to get them through the meet, a cover-up or dry clothes in some sort of bag. Remember to label all belongings with your name.
  • Only lunch-box-size coolers that can fit under your seat are allowed. There is no room for large coolers. Please pack snacks and a water bottle for your swimmer to have in their bullpen.

Concessions & other vendors:

  • There is a smaller concession stand in the facility. However, we do not know the types and amount of food that will be available.

Pool Seating Information:

  • Swimmers, coaches and volunteers will sit in our assigned section - On Deck, Sec. J & K. When swimmers are not swimming, they are expected to be in the assigned seating section with their bullpen volunteers.
  • Spectators are welcome at this year’s meet, and admission is free. Spectators must remain in the spectator gallery in designated spectator seating areas. Spectators/parents are not allowed on the pool deck, unless they have a credential as a meet volunteer or designated team official.
  • The girls and boys swim in separate pools. The boys pool is closest to the big scoreboard. The girls pool is in between the boys pool and the diving well. The lanes are numbered 0-9 with lane 0 being closest to the windows and lane 9 closest to the stands.

Order of Events:

  • The order of events is VERY different from what we are used to. We’d strongly recommend printing a copy of the attached session list for your use at the meet.
    • Notice there are 2 separate lists because the girls meet and boys meet occur in different pools. Events will keep their same event numbers, but will not occur in that order. 6 & Unders and Relays are all at the beginning of the meet.
  • PLEASE NOTE – 6 & Unders can plan to leave the Twin Lakes swimmer seating area with their parent/designated adult after the swimming of the 6 & Under backstroke.

General Helpful Hints:

  • This meet will move quickly.
  • There is a girls pool and a boys pool, the girls/boys events will run back to back, without the delay of the opposite gender. Spectators and bullpen parents will really need to pay attention.
  • Relays don’t run through the official ASA bullpen, they go straight to the blocks. Parent volunteers will need to take each set of swimmers to the correct end of the pool for relays.
  • If you want a heat sheet, you need to print it and bring it. They will NOT have any for sale at the meet (as they have in years past). Do NOT use the SwimTopia app, it does not synch exactly with the Georgia Tech equipment, so it will not have accurate information at this meet. Please use the emailed heat sheet and posted paper results in the hallway for the most accurate information.
  • Official results will be posted in the hallway at the meet. All parents need to check their swimmer’s results. If something seems wrong, contact Catherine or another coach immediately. Check the paper results in the hallway before you consult Catherine, though.
  • Any attached links not operating properly and all additional information can be found on the ASA Championships page: https://asa.swimtopia.com/championship
