Meet # AWAY at Briarmoor Manor
Swimmers arrive at the bullpen BY 5:10 pm | Do not forget to check in
- Check in - look for the lightning bolt pinata; Bullpens will be in the lot behind the pool. Swimmers are encouraged to bring chairs to sit on.
- Our warm ups: 5:30 - 5:55 pm
- Meet starts at 6:00 pm
5:10 arrival means in the bullpen at 5:10. It is VERY important that swimmers are there and ready. If your swimmer is not there, lineup changes will need to be made. If an emergency arises and you will not be there by 5:10, please call or text Jaime Raymond at 770-364-7917.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Thank you to ALL the parents who have already volunteered. We still need a few roles filled - see Laura and Rebecca's email. Most were bullpen parents. FYI, if we do not have bullpen parents, children will sit with their parents and parents will be responsible for getting your child(ren) to the coordinator.
Please visit our team site and sign up to help.
PARKING: The main parking area is closed. Please park along the pool side of Caladium Street and on one side only of the surrounding side streets to help ensure safety and traffic flow.
CHECK-IN: Swimmer should check in near the entrance (look for the lightning bolt pinata) when they arrive. Volunteers should check in with Laura Kavtaradze and Rebecca Keefer upon arrival. If you are running late or an emergency comes up that will keep you from getting there on time, please call or text Jaime Raymond at 770-364-7917.
SEATING & BULLPENS:
- Bullpens will be in the lot behind the pool. Swimmers are encouraged to bring chairs.
- Our seating area is along Lane 6, along with a couple tables with umbrellas. Parents are encouraged to bring chairs and tents. Shade is limited.
CONCESSIONS: They will offer hamburgers from Sprig Restaurant, Chick-fil-A sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, and beverages. They accept small-denomination cash and Venmo.
REMINDERS FOR YOUR SWIMMERS:
- CHECK IN (Remind your teen swimmers / caretakers of younger swimmers)
- Drink plenty of fluids (water, Gatorade, sports drinks) and to rest as much as possible during the day. This goes for ALL AGES of swimmers.
- Make sure to pack some extra water for everyone coming.
- Let’s show our sportsmanship and bullpen etiquette!
- We will send out the heat sheet early Tuesday afternoon. Mark your swimmer’s arm with their events prior to meet arrival.
What does “Mark your swimmers” mean? We have you covered.
MARK YOUR SWIMMER: Please plan to mark your swimmer’s arm with their events prior to meet arrival. This will save valuable time – and will encourage your swimmer’s excitement for each race. So grab a sharpie at home and go for it. An example is linked here.
- E is Event, H is Heat, L is lane, and S is stroke.
- If it is the Medley Relay here is the schedule of strokes: Back, Breast, Butterfly, Free
Wednesday, June 3rd:
- Summer afternoon practice (no morning practice)
- Ribbons might be available for pick up in the ribbon file (located on the bench by the concession stand). If not, they will be at the pool on Thursday.
- Deadline to mark your availability for Meet #3's meet at HOME
